EXCLUSIVE: Skydance Animation has scored a significant coup by buying rights to make Ray Gunn. That would be the subsequent animated movie by writer-director Brad Chook, the Oscar-winning Pixar fixture who made The Incredibles movies, Ratatouille and The Iron Largein addition to the live-action Mission: Not possible – Ghost Protocol. He’ll direct and produce the movie from an unique story by him. Chook wrote the script with Matthew Robbins.
John Lasseter, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg will produce for Skydance Animation. Ray Gunn can be Chook’s first animated movie since 2018’s Incredibles 2Pixar’s highest-grossing movie of all time. Chook reunites with former Pixar head Lasseter and joins a rising roster of animation expertise at Skydance.
