Saturday marked Day 1 of town of West Covina’s first Spring Pageant on the Sportsplex. The bash drew a giant crowd that was handled to dozens upon dozens of meals and retail distributors, cultural leisure, rides and musical performances.
That’s to not point out a few beer gardens.
Sunday would be the ultimate day. Gates open at midday and the competition will run till 7 p.m. Free parking is at a premium. However shuttle providers can be found from Metropolis Corridor, Shadow Oak Park, Cortez Park and West Covina Excessive Faculty from 11:30 a.m. to eight:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 for non-residents, $3 for residents and kids beneath 12 can be admitted free.
Saturday’s leisure included musical performances by The Funk Docs, Sirgen, Angelica Montano, Arturo Vargas, The Trustworthy and Previous Motion Heroes, a Nineteen Eighties-90s cowl band.
Headliners Sunday embody Remix — which performs R&B and funk — and Chilly Duck, a long-running dance band. Remix can be on at 2 p.m., Chilly Duck at 5.
The occasion is being staged along side a number of non-profit organizations such because the San Gabriel Valley NAACP, Chinese language American Affiliation of West Covina, West Covina Enterprise Affiliation (which can also be representing the Latino group), Seesaw Communities, Filipino American Affiliation of West Covina, Kiwanis Membership of West Covina, East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Neighborhood Middle.
